Continental TrueContact is specially designed for the sedan, coupe, minivan, and crossover owners. It comes in a range of sizes ranging from 15-19 inch wheel diameters. This means that it includes both old and new car models and some compact and subcompact vehicles. Being an all-season tire, the TrueContact should offer its driver excellent traction and brake performance throughout the year, even in light snow.
Vehicles suitable for these tires are the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, and Ford Fusion, minivans such as the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, compact sedans such as the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, and some sporty cops, however, if you drive a sports car. Please note that the Continental True Contact is not designed for maximum performance – it is the more comfortable type of tire. Also, it ranks below Grand Touring tires. What are the features of the Continental TrueContact?
Like most Continental tires, TrueContact has a lot to offer. Made from all-season trade compound TG-F polymer and +Saline additives, which are now pretty much standard across the Continental range and with our previous experience with them, they provide durability benefits in truly dry and wet conditions as well.
The tire compound is molded into a cohesive design designed to ensure continuous contact with the road, which should improve traction and handling, responsiveness, and high-speed stability. Unlike some of its competitors, who only offer two enclosures, the Continental comes with three. These drains should improve hydroplaning resistance in heavy rain, wet traction. The all-season aspect is covered with low intermediate trade blocks and traction grooves, which help in true contact with traction in light snow.
Continental’s Comfort Ride technology is also available to improve ride quality on uneven surfaces, while the business design has also been improved to produce less noise. Other accessories, such as a tightly wound joint less polyamide reinforced internal structure with twin steel belts, are also standard for Continental tires and are similar to other standard Touring tires.
What are maintenance indicators?

You won’t see these signs of wear from a normal distance when the tires are new, but they will appear once the tires are worn out. But, what does it mean and when to change tires? It’s simple – if the tread wear indicators are full, then the tires will not be usable in cold weather, and especially in the snow.
It won’t happen soon though. Compared to more expensive models from other manufacturers, the Continental TrueContact is one of the most durable tires currently on the market. 90,000-mile treadwear warranty (T&H-Speed rated models, V-rated get 80,000-mile warranty) The volume shows how confident Continental is in the durability of its standard Turing tires, and we can verify that’s the case in the real world. It’s the same. Consumers get more than 5 years of continuous driving with these tires, which is certainly impressive.
As far as the uniformity warranty is concerned, the Continental True Contact gets 2/32 wear from 1 year or earlier. The company also offers 60 days test drive, which is double as compared to other manufacturers. Call this trust if you want, but it really shows that the German tire manufacturer believes in their product.
Is Continental TrueContact good for off-road driving?
not at all! TrueContact is designed for use only on paved roads and will not give you enough road traction. That said, this gravel can be used on roads without any problems, provided you don’t drive too fast. Running a standard touring tire is enough to give you enough traction on gravel, but only at low speeds. If you want a set of tires that will work in off-road conditions, you want to start with all-terrain tires.
How does Continental TrueContact behave on dry tarmac?
As expected, the Continental TrueContact is one of the best handling tires in its class, especially considering the fact that it’s cheaper than anything else. We were surprised by the first reaction—every steering input is taken to the road faster than expected in standard Touring tires. Furthermore, the traction level is very high for the tire type, while the grip is excellent.
The Continental TrueContact offers its owner one of the shortest braking distances in the category, making it a safe choice for any family. Sure, some grand Touring or Performance tires will give you better handling skills, but the Continental will be more than enough for the average driver.
How is Continental TrueContact over wet and slippery roads?
As the Continental TrueContact compares to other premium standard touring tires, it outlasts almost all when it rains. This is nothing new to us – we already know that Continental places a lot of focus on designing tires that will work in rainy conditions, resulting in an excellent performance.
Thanks to three wide ducts, True Contact has hydroplaning resistance. Your car will remain under control even if it goes into the water pits. The stopping distance is also very low, while the side-to-side grip is excellent. In its upper part, thanks to the modern compound with TG-F polymer and + xylene additives, holds itself very well in continental humid conditions.
With that being said, how is Continental TrueContact in snowy roads?
Although most buyers expect that all-season tires are not really suitable for winter driving. Of course, they are much better than summer tires, which are completely unusable in the cold season, but they are still far from winter tires. The same can be said for Continental TrueContact. Much better than summer tires if the weather is dry and cool. Traction remains solid, and braking is still fairly powerful.
However, although it is classified as a lightweight snow tire, the Continental TrueContact does not give the driver enough traction or stopping power for safe driving. I mean, yes, it has traction in light snow (you won’t get stuck), but that still doesn’t make it completely usable. Therefore, if you live in an area with harsh winters, you may want to invest in winter tires from October through March. On the other hand, if you live in areas with mild winters without snow, Continental TrueContact can serve you well.
Is Continental TrueContact comfortable and refined?
Thanks to the Comfort Ride technology, the ride quality is excellent, despite the huge potholes and many minor blemishes on the roads. Noise isn’t a problem at highway speeds — you can’t hear tires on subcompact vehicles without adequate noise insulation.
